My name is Dario Gonzalez Martinez, and I am from Chile. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Universidad Catolica Silva Henriquez in 2005. After that, I worked as a math teacher for four years in a high school, and I taught calculus, algebra and statistic in the university during the same period. During 2009, I participated in a scholarship program of Chilean government addressed to develop advanced human capital by sending professional from different fields to continue their doctoral studies in the United States. In my particular case, I applied to University of Georgia to take the Ph.D. in Mathematics Education program of the College of Education. This is my first year in the program, and I am really excited. |
